Final Project Review

You will be responsible for creating a letterhead, business card, and advertisement to promote the company that you created the logo for. You must come up with the information for the company (name, address, phone number, web address, and email). YOU CANNOT USE THE ACTUAL INFORMATION!

Letterhead

Using Quark, create a letterhead for your company. Make sure to include the logo, all of your company information, and include your name as President. Keep the design principles in mind and choose at least one to base your design around.

Document Setup

• Layout Name: Company Letterhead
• Layout Type: Print
• Page Size: US Letter
• Width: 8.5" Height: 11"
• Orientation: Portrait
• Top/Bottom Margins: .25"
• Left/Right Margins: .25"

Remember that the letterhead cannot take up more than the top 2" of the page and no more than 1.5" from the bottom of the page.

Save in your Final Project Review folder as Company Letterhead

Business Card

Using Quark, make sure to include your logo, all of your company information, and include your name as President on your card. Also make sure to use repetition on your business card by including elements from your letterhead (font type, color, etc.) Also remember to use the entire document area for your card design.

Document Setup

• Layout Name: Company Business Card
• Layout Type: Print
• Page Size: US Letter
• Width: 3.5" Height: 2"  (Landscape) or Width: 2" Height: 3.5" (Portrait)
• Orientation: Landscape/Portrait
• Margins: 0"

Use a 2 pt. frame around the PAGE GUIDES to represent card size.

Advertisement

Using Quark OR Photoshop, you will design a full page advertisement that describes a sale or promotion for products that your company is currently selling. The advertisement must include your logo, all of your address and contact information, hours of operation, and credit cards accepted. The advertisement must include a background that relates to your business. You must include a minimum of four images of your products as well as pricing and product information.

Document Setup

• Layout Name: Company Advertisement
• Height: 11" Width: 8.5" OR Height: 8.5" Width: 11"
• Orientation: Portrait/Landscape
• All margins. .25" (if using Quark)

Photoshop Text Layers

Today you will be experimenting with using text layer styles in Photoshop. Before you begin, however, please read and complete this brief tutorial which explains layer styles in more detail.

Be sure to use a new photoshop document.

The setup is as follows:

• Name: Photoshop Text
• Width: 8.5"
• Height: 11"
• Resolution: 300
• Color Mode: CMYK
• Background Contents: Transparent or White (you choose)

In addition, please view the tutorial provided on the website under Photoshop Tutorials. Choose Layer Styles/Text Styles.

After completing these activities, please continue working on the photoshop text exercise that we had briefly started before break.

Using all the information above, and the skills learned, complete this assignment. Please do not print until Thursday. If you have any questions, there are students in the class who have used Photoshop before. They will be your best resource today.
