Photoshop Text Layers

Today you will be experimenting with using text layer styles in Photoshop. Before you begin, however, please read and complete this brief tutorial which explains layer styles in more detail.

Be sure to use a new photoshop document.

The setup is as follows:

  • Name: Photoshop Text
  • Width: 8.5"
  • Height: 11"
  • Resolution: 300
  • Color Mode: CMYK
  • Background Contents: Transparent or White (you choose)
In addition, please view the tutorial provided on the website under Photoshop Tutorials. Choose Layer Styles/Text Styles. 

Read the following information on the layers palette, and creating new layers: 


After completing these activities, please continue working on the photoshop text exercise that we had briefly started before break. 

The samples and instructions for this activity can be found under the Marking Period 2 projects, right underneath, Photoshop CS4...Yea!!!

Using all the information above, and the skills learned, complete this assignment. Please do not print until Thursday. If you have any questions, there are students in the class who have used Photoshop before. They will be your best resource today.
