Rossetti's Menu (Repetition)

Today, you will be working on creating a menu that utilizes the design principle of repetition. Please read the instructions VERY CAREFULLY and refer to the example on the website. Your finished product should match this exactly, except for the color scheme that you choose.

Setup:
  • 8.5 x 11" LANDSCAPE
  • Margins .25" on all sides
  • Set for two columns
  • Layout name: Rossetti's Menu
Creating the Document:
  • Insert page 2 after page 1 (Page menu > Insert)
  • Create the ruler guides (page 1):
    • From the top ruler:
      • 2.5"
      • 4"
      • 5.5"
      • 5.75"
    • From the left ruler:
      • 1.25"
  • To draw the squares on the first page, do the following:
    • Use the table tool on the tools palette.
    • Click the tool and create a box that is as large as the right column.
    • Enter 13 columns and 22 rows.
    • You should see a grid of boxes that you can now fill in with 20% fill of any color you want. This color must use a color category from the color theory handout (primary, secondary, tertiary), in addition to one of the following color schemes:
      • Complementary (opposites on the color wheel)
      • Split - Complementary (colors found almost opposite each other)
      • Triad (found equidistant on the color wheel, forms a triangle)
      • Analogous (colors found adjacent (next to) to each other on the color wheel)
      • Monochromatic Colors (relying on only one color with variations in intensity)
    • REMEMBER: Stay away from dark text on dark background, and light text on light background).
Graphics:

Add graphics as you see them on the handout, but choose different ones. Be aware of proportions and pixilation. The pictures must match the topic.
